(1) Non-tourist visa for up to 6 months will be given to foreign citizens who come to Nepal for study and research purposes to invest in Nepal. The representative and the dependent family of such authorized representative will be provided with a business visa to stay in Nepal as long as the foreign investment is maintained.

However, foreign investors who invest at least one hundred thousand US dollars or its equivalent in foreign currency at one time and their dependent family will be provided with such investment. Residential visa will be provided.
